My name is Kit Mead. I am an autistic self-advocate, and activist.I graduated with a BA in history from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. My historical research is in disability history, especially American eugenics. My senior seminar was on Carrie Buck, the woman in the 1927 Supreme Court case, Buck v. Bell. I was researching her life outside of that case.
On a non academic-related note, I love cats (and most other animals). I also like writing poetry, fantasy, magical realism, and realistic fiction, and drawing abstract art.
